Demand Planner

ANETIK Performance · San Clemente, CA · Onsite · Full-time · Mid-level

The Role

As ANETIK's Demand Planner, you'll own the demand forecast across every channel — DTC, wholesale, key/big-box accounts, and government — and translate it into actionable inventory, purchasing, and production plans. You'll be the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations, and you'll be central to the rollout of our Oracle NetSuite ERP, going live July 1, 2026. You'll help configure NetSuite's demand planning workflows from day one and build the forecasting playbook ANETIK will run for years.

This role reports to Alex Dauw, Operational Lead, and is based onsite at our San Clemente, CA headquarters.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility seat. You'll present forecasts directly to the CEO and leadership team, defend your numbers, and have real ownership of the inventory decisions that move the business.

What You'll Do

  • Own SKU-level demand forecasts across all channels (DTC, wholesale, key accounts, government), incorporating historical sales, seasonality, promotions, new product launches, and market trends
  • Lead the monthly S&OP cycle, facilitating forecast consensus meetings with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance
  • Build and maintain the open-to-buy plan for wholesale and key accounts; align with Sales on pre-book, at-once, and replenishment
  • Configure and operate demand planning in NetSuite; partner with the implementation team during go-live and serve as in-house power user post-launch
  • Pull DTC demand signals from Shopify and reconcile with NetSuite to drive replenishment for hero SKUs across size/color matrices
  • Translate forecasts into purchase orders — manage MOQs, lead times, and supplier capacity in coordination with Production/Sourcing
  • Track and report KPIs: forecast accuracy (MAPE), fill rate, inventory turns, weeks-of-supply, sell-through, GMROI, and excess/obsolete exposure
  • Manage seasonal transitions and end-of-life plans — markdown strategies, stock balancing, and clean exits for aged inventory
  • Identify risks and opportunities weekly; recommend reorders, transfers, cancellations, or markdowns
  • Leverage AI tools (Perplexity, ChatGPT, custom forecasting copilots, inventory planning platforms) to accelerate analysis, surface insights, and improve model accuracy

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of demand, inventory, or merchandise planning experience — apparel, footwear, or CPG preferred
  • Hands-on ERP experience — Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred; go-live or implementation experience is a major plus
  • Multi-channel planning fluency — you've planned for DTC, wholesale, AND key/big-box accounts
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets — pivot tables, XLOOKUP, scenario modeling; can build a forecast model from scratch
  • Shopify experience pulling sales/inventory data for DTC forecasting
  • AI tool fluency — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude — you use them to move faster
  • S&OP experience — you've run or actively contributed to a monthly consensus forecast cycle
  • Executive communication — can present a forecast to a CEO and defend it without hedging

Bonus Points

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or IBF CPF certification
  • NetSuite Demand Planning module, SuiteAnalytics, or planning add-ons (NetStock, Streamline, Anaplan)
  • BI tool fluency: Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Experience scaling a brand from $10M to $50M+ revenue
  • Active outdoor lifestyle passion — fishing, surf, trail, paddle, off-road — you live it
  • EDI and big-box compliance experience (Dick's, Bass Pro, Academy)
  • SQL or basic scripting / automation chops

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $85,000–$105,000
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Employee discount on ANETIK gear
  • Onsite at our San Clemente, CA HQ — walking distance to the beach

How to Apply

Send your résumé and a short note (3–5 sentences) on the toughest forecast call you've ever had to make and how it played out to careers@anetik.com, or DM Garrett Frazier on LinkedIn.

Bonus if your note includes one inventory metric you'd want to fix at ANETIK in your first 90 days based on what you can see from the outside.
